A Response. Mains Trying Out The Pure Community?

This topic is a response to the following topic: http://forums.zybez....ain-clan-world/

Dear main community,

Seeing as the main community is a lot less active than the pure community at the moment I wanted to make this topic as a response to the topic linked above. I'm sure a lot of you want the main community to thrive again. I want this to happen aswell. But I personally do not see this happening anytime soon. So it got me thinking. The pure community at the moment is rather active, with a handfull of low leveled pure clans opening soon (I believe atleast 5-7 are officially planned at this very moment). All these clans agreed to a 40-60 cmb and -10 defence cap and expect to start with 20-30 members. The pure community is trying to actually increase the activity within the community even futher by doing so. A lot of older players are returning to give clanning another (final?) try in one of these low leveled pure clans. The goal is to create a fair, fun and action packed competitive scene. The goal is to have fun! Personally I can say that I've had the most fun on RuneScape as a low leveled pure participating in a lot of 30vs30 fights.

Now my actual response to the topic linked above:

Wouldn't it be interesting for (some of) you guys (the main clanning community) to make lvl 40 pures in less than 1 week and try one of these low leveled pure clans? Or even better: start a low leveled pure clan yourself with a couple of friends? You can stay in your main clan and keep clanning. I'm 100% sure trip times wouldn't interfere with your events.

Some of you will laugh at this proposal, which I can understand. But don't you want to give it a try? Even if it's for 1 month? A lot of you have never tried and experienced the pure community. So why not try it? Getting a lvl 40-60 pure would take less than 1 week (hell, I bet some of you could do so in 1-2 days). If you don't like it you can always call it a day and focus on other things. Nobody would blame you, as most of you are familiar with a different warring style.

I know some of you have a certain mindset when you think about the pure community. A lot of you see pure clans as a bunch of 12 year olds that enjoy mass sniping and short fights. I can guarantee you that most of us are 18+ and rather mature. Sure.. there are younger players, but the main community has so aswell. It's also true that every community has rotten apples. So does the pure community. And yes, pure fights do not last as long as main fights, but don't forget that pure clans have the abbility to have constant action with diffferent clans for 1 or more hours at different locations. Thus creating a lot of diversity that makes the whole experience exciting. As for the mass sniping style. Well.. you are probably right. But the issue lies in the mindset. Whereas the main community sees it as unorganised mass sniping the pure community sees it as chaotic organization. It's the best way for pure clans to fight one another (and the funnest way might I say).

I've experienced both clanning communities and liked both. I'm glad I decided to try and experience the main community aswell. I'm not here to cause a debate about whether the pure community is better than the main community or vice versa. I'm sorry if I did. That was not my intention. It is hard to compare both communities unless you've actually tried both.

Anyways... Thank you for reading! I'd genuinely love to see some of you guys try out the pure community. Even if it's only for 1 month. Remember that this is not a call for desperation from the pure community. No, I want all of us to have fun, and made this topic on my own.

I wish all of you a wonderful day!

~ Sandra
