Once upon a time when clans cared about their image there was an unspoken code of honor that most lived by. Things have changed in this newer era with newer gear and othe various updates, but there are still some tactics that are surely frowned upon still to this day. The obvious hack and scamming should always be looked down on, but even little things like dragging a screen away while you're tanking wasn't popular until DI and DS started doing it. Praying 1v1 was outlawed by a lot of clans back in the day, but if you look now there's Godswords and Dark Bow specs that could one hit somebody if they're lucky enough. Crashing fights was forbidden by any individual in an honor clan, but today it seems like it's nothing but a free for all.
Times have changed and so has everyone's view on what's acceptable and what's not, so in short what would you consider against the 'Honor Code'?
What would you consider against the 'Honor Code'?
Starting out with the obvious DDoSing, hacking, and scamming are probably always going to be the lowest of lows. I still think full out attempts to crash a 1v1, planned or not, should be considered against the Honor Code. Clans seemed to have accepted these so-called 'crash wars' ever since EoS and CoR started doing it and so on. Even today we have RoT and VR in an ongoing, albeit one-sided crash war. Along with the crashing comes the one iteming in P2P which had always been outlawed by top clans until OSRS came around. It suddenly became acceptable to one item or 'rag' your enemies. It's still against Damage Incorporated's rules to one-item although it's generally accepted by some other clans. Lastly I think dragging the fight south and running to single is still a dirty tactic. The list goes on and on so feel free to add to it.
