How do you make a wilderness PKRI sound appealing to someone new?

For some people it's about the loot, but most of the time in the wilderness you don't see anyone looting while there's still someone to be killed.

How do you convince someone who has never clan pked before that dying over and over for your items and not really gaining anything but pride is fun?

In my opinion there aren't too many better feelings than winning something with your friends, at least that's the appeal for me.
