As someone who has been out of the game for quite a few years now (but coming back, training now) it hurts me that when I look at the Runescape Community profiles for a lot of the people I used to talk, they haven’t been on these forums in several years.
I am talking about people who in my mind were legends during their time in the Clans community, the likes of Bibbleboy, Robtokill, Death240, Kidefense, and a handful of others.
Although unfortunate I haven’t seen them on here in a while, it is interesting because I am “friends” with these old-schoolers on other outlets.
For example, within the last year I found myself playing Counter-Strike with Big_Chopa (former Cor), I am friends on Facebook with Swebgotenks (Cor), and xos_Trust_xos (EoS), although I haven’t been on Myspace in nearly 10 years-I know I am friends with Carl (Bibbleboy) on there. Also have Robotkill and others on my Steam list, just haven’t spoken with them in years.
So I am wondering (this is the point of this topic), have you kept in touch with any of your old Runescape friends at all? You don’t have to be buds who talk regularly, but do you have any idea how they are doing in their adult lives now? Are you connected with anyone on any other platforms besides forums/Runescape with anyone?
Or if you haven’t been around this community all that long, do you plan on keeping in touch with any of these folks when you eventually leave the game?
