Clans/teams

Okay, first off I'm still fairly new with the RSC scene. Been clanning for a good three years with Downfall being my first and only clan. I've searched the Clan Discussion Forum Rules and haven't found anything on the matter. I apologize in advance if this is a commonly seen topic, I just would like some clarification.

Now to the matter at hand, in Downfall, I've always been told you stick to one clan and one clan only and not to recruit and/or accept members still in other clans. However, through my viewing of RSC, I have noticed quite a few posters who have clan colors in their links and/or side avatar panels. I have been told teams are accepted as "secondary clans" and that is not multi-clanning. However, through post discussion and the "Top Clan" topic, I've seen these clans discussed and rated as "clans". This has me a bit confused as to what is acceptable and what is not. I also have seen mention on "country clans" and am not sure how these fit in.

So my questions are;

What considered a "Clan"?

What is/not considered multiclanning?

What is the official ruling on multiclanning?

How do "teams" and "country clans" fit into this category? Is there a certain limit to how many are allowed? Should there be?


*Please note this is not a topic about flamming one clan or another so please respect my wishes and not bring that here. I would greatly appreciate if I could get an official ruling on some of these issues.
