The Return Of Bh Worlds - #oldpvp

EDIT: From feedback, it appears that people hated the EP system. Possibly 5 or 6 PKing worlds with the full loot drops (like now) with the rest of the worlds being safe (maybe populated by revenants like in 2008-2010) would be a compromise that everybody would like.



I would like to suggest that Old Pking (BH worlds before Feb 2011) returns to Runescape. I know many people will argue against this idea, however I and many other people feel it will benefit both solo pking, group pking and clan pking.

This is a topic that has been discussed throughout the whole clan world since the initial buzz and excitement factor of ‘old wilderness’ wore off shortly after it was released. This will not only bring income to the game, helping the prices of both skillable items and pvm drops to increase. The Wildy will also be a lot more active as it once was in 2010.

The main factors that made the Bounty Hunter worlds better than the current wilderness were that:

• It made pking fairer; the longer duration that you eped/pked for, the more loot you would obtain. This gets rid of the ‘luck’ factor that many players hate.
  
• The fact that there were only four Bounty Hunter worlds meant that both single and multi wilderness was a lot more active.
  
• Four pking worlds would make multi wilderness more active, lead to more clan vs clan encounters, which would revive the dying clan world. I feel this should be a priority as Jagex is always saying how they feel that clanning is an important aspect of the game.
  
• Eping gave clans (and solo pkers) an excuse to pk more actively, again contributing to the revival of clan pking.

We feel that this could be a truly amazing update. Although you may use the results of the February 2011 referendum as a reason for not bringing back BH worlds, a lot of pkers regretted the decision that made to vote for old wilderness.

Of course, things such as free trade, the new Forinthry dungeon and staking can stay in the game, however we all feel that the wilderness update should be changed back to how it was in 2010.
The aspects that we want to return are-

• 4 BH worlds (World 18, 65, 124 and 137)
  
• Statue
  
• Brawling glove drops
  
• PVM gear drops (Vesta’s, Morrigan’s etc)
  
• Fist of Guthix and Clanwars in their 2010 locations
