Serious question: Do you want this game to survive or not?

I think it's fair to say 95% of us have been paying for this horrible game for 6, 7, 8 years. You are charging people to play an outdated game whilst forcing them to start over new (yes we agreed to this and are trying to make it work). You are banking on the clan scene to keep this game alive and then ban the majority of the people with high combat xp gains. I mean so what even if some people bot combat it doesn't hurt anyone, there is no RWTing involved.
I'm speaking for members of all PvP clans who got banned recently, just now that the wilderness has started to become active.

I've pmed a few clans and so far the following are effected: ROT, VR, CD, EoS, AF, DI, DF and definitely many more.

What you have to realize is that the majority of us aren't playing this server for the skilling, pvming or the questing, we are playing it for clanfights and clanfights only.
Now if more and more people are getting banned for their combat xp gains (whether it's a justified macro ban or not) people will start to quit, clans will be less active and eventually close, the economy will become imbalanced and the game will go down the drain within little time. There is barely any new blood coming into these servers so your focus should be to keep the current players around. There is no doubt that this version of the game has an expiration date but why is Jagex trying to make its lifespan even shorter?

Yes I realize that macroing is against the Jagex rules. However if 50% of players involved in the clanworld are botting their combat and Jagex continues being hellbent on sticking to their rules then they will end up getting banned.
Where is that going to leave the game?

Just for clarification: I am completely against goldfarming bots.

@ HAR/any other CD Mod: I know your fingers are itching to close this topic but if you consider yourself a Clan Discussion staff member then you honestly have to realize this issue has to be discussed.
