Before Mod Mat K streamed the cluster there were discussions about taking the reins from him if people were interested enough and it actually proved very popular He did well considering he was on his own, and it was a first attempt. I have spoken with some CD staff, and they are passively interested, but I know a few members of the community myself who would be raring to go on something like this.
I understand there are obstacles to overcome before going ahead with this. Those are being discussed with Mod Mat, and between ourselves and we have already come up with some decent solutions to many of the glaring problems ahead of us.
We believe that if this is done properly, and Mat sticks to his word and helps us out as much as he can with promoting, it could bring clan fights back to the forefront of this game, and possibly (touch wood) bring some new blood into OSRS. Exactly what we all need right now.
The aim is quite simple: We want all major fights to be commentated on as and when they happen. A centralized stream with 2-3 commentators, and guest appearances throughout from high profile community members, so that everybody can tune into it and watch the fights without having to run around on their scouts or whatever.
SO WE NEED COMMENTATORS. We would need a fairly large panel to guarantee all major fights will be covered (because we wouldn't go ahead with this unless perfection was possible). They would need to be unbiased, at least while streaming, level headed and mature enough to hold a decent, interesting conversation. We would want to see the same level of professionalism given to this as you would see on any LoL, Starcraft or whatever streams you watch. If we can't achieve that then why would people play OUR game?
