Are Teams Relevant In Todays Clan World?

Are teams really relevant in modern day runescape? With a clan world slowly dying, shouldn't we be focussing all our attention on the clans and not teams? Teams really do add nothing to the clan world and they only seem to be out when their members clans are not out so they really aren't seeing action and clans aren't seeing action from them.

My question to you is,  Are teams relevant in todays clans world? and would the clan world be better off without teams?
