Poison's 4Th Year

Most people think when you run a clan, you have to aim for the #1 spot or that you have to reach the top 5 tier. My clan however, always focused on taking advantage of the mid sized clan world. What we enjoy the most is rivalries, I'm talking about beefy and healthy rivalries that gave us inspiration to do something in the game. But that's when the clan world was active, and actually had a variety of clans around.

2009:

We opened with great motivation and great momentum. We ended up winning our first PKRI/fight vs Downfall's first PKRI. 24 Poison vs 45 Downfall.


A clan recently opened up around our time called Illusion. Their leader (GreatJackal) attempted to recruit off our clan, so we had to shut them up. At the same time, crash teams such as Noobs inc + Killjoy aided Illusion. We took on Illusion while NI+KJ attempted to crash/aid Illusion.


Eventually, Illusion ended up closing after losing core officials to other clans, NI and Killjoy died off.

2010:

A new clan that opened around the same time as Illusion, called Notorious. Members from both Notorious + Poison binded/sniped each other fights which created a rivalry.


Notorious ended up closing due to timezone issues/interclan rank problems.

Our biggest rivalry came up to this point and still is, a clan that had been around for years, Dragonwood. Both clans entered a CE tournament and got paired up against each other in the matched fights category. Both clans had some dc's and we managed to take the win, we got accused of ddosing by Dragonwood so they retaliated back with ddosing and constantly targeting us. We had several fights, both in cwa and pvp. But we agreed to settle the beef in one last pkri.


A few weeks later Dragonwood ranks decided to close due to lack of interest with the game.


During a world war crash war that involved VR+EoS vs the world - Sarge Alex made a crash team called Team Kenya dedicated to crash Poison, he was EoS at the time. So we wanted to annoy his clan and get some revenge out of it till they agreed to control their members from sniping our fights.


Team Kenya ended up closing.


2011:

We started having fights daily, 6 days a week with 1 day off every week. We fought clans like Knights of Order, Exodus, CR, Envy, Pure Hatred, TNC, TMC Ascension. Involved ourselves in small rivalries.


TNC, TMC, KO, Ascension, Envy, Exodus closed at some point.


2012:

A new clan made up of some ex Notorious/Last Hope/etc members, called Exalt opened. We had some very close fights with them.


Exalt ended up closing.

Some ex poison members decided to join Collision and snipe our fights, so we created beef with Collision - who used to be a really friendly clan with us a long time ago.


A new clan called Holy Knights opened up and attempted to recruit our members and trash talk the rest of us. so we retaliated ingame.


Holy Knights decided to close due to interclan drama, some joined Poison, some joined Solace.

Some members from Blacknights decided to flame bait and snipe our fights for whatever reason, so we had to retaliate till their leader would control their members.


There wasn't many clans left to fight. We all had a mutual agreement of fighting each other every week between Poison/CR/THE/Gladz/Bk in the wilderness. Eventually we all had a good idea of creating a mid sized cluster once a week for last clan standing.

It mainly involved Poison vs BK vs THE vs CR.


Blacknights shortly closed due to their leader stepping down.

A new crashing team called Counter Terrorists opened. And for whatever reason we were their target.


At the same time, Natural Born Killers were trash talking us on RSC and then ended up joining the beef.


We were never phased with all the crashers on us. Fights such as Poison + Genesis vs Runescape Dinasty.


At this point, there was another world war crash war, involving the "Holy Alliance vs Slave Alliance". Downfall and Poison had some small beef stirring up that started growing. So we baited them out of their current crash war to fight us and bail on Pure Hatred and got our clean 1vs1. At this time, PH and Downfall were not allies any longer.


The EoC beta was announced, and the clan world wanted a final cluster of Runescape 2. We still had some "unsettled beef" with the likes of Collision, Counter Terrorists, Natural Born Killers+Corrupted Knights, Downfall. We invited all Ex Poison memebers for a reunion and domination.


Downfall and Counter Terrorists decided to close with EoC coming around the corner. Natural Born Killers decided to stay in Eoc with 07scape being announced a few months later. Collision went very quiet.

2013:

A new clan opened up, with ex members from Holy Knights. It was called Nexus. They attempted to recruit off our clan once again. So we retaliated and got action out of it, in EoC.


Nexus shortly closed afterwards with their leadership bailing on their clan.

Right after, VR decided to crash one of our fights while we were about to fight Critical Damage. So our focus went onto VR. We agreed to settle it with a pkri. VR ended up pulling 50 to our 25.


07scape was announced. We all trained up as much as we could to get the goals we wanted before we got our first fight. But then we realized there was not alot of action going around for our size or for any clans in the clan world. Because there just wasn't enough.  personally tried recruiting for THE and The Gladiatorz, even Collision. I found out all 3 of them turned into communities eventually. So we finally found our first fight, being against THE (When they were a warring clan). It was clean until another crash team decided to target us, called Critical Damage. We realized it's great for action, so why not retaliate back - and so we did.


It was clear we always beat them in clean 1vs1s. Then came along the Jagex Cluster, hosted by Mod Mat K's twitch stream. For our size, we didn't have a lot to look for, however, we ran into WG + THE + Gladz in a 1vs3 run in.


4 years of Poison and still going, thanks for all the action as of yet. Who knows how long this game will last for, only time will tell. ;)
