The year was late 2004. ZF had begun to die and other, smaller clans, had begun to absorb their members and grow. Clans like Titans, Corruption, EoS, DS, Gladz, RR, and even DI either began to form or had gotten bigger. Eventually, more and more clans were popping up all over the place, PK run ins were frequent, to the level 70s you would find next to rune rocks wearing green leater and wielding mith schimatars, to the massive PK run ins and wars with big name clans and massive flaming and trash talking on the forums. Events such as World vs America were being held frequently as well,and servers were crashing due to the tremendous amounts of people logging in at the exact same time.
Jagex noticed.
And in Feburary of 2005 Jagex relased the 'Team Cape' addition to the game. This was the beginning of the clan support system that I and at least another 2 dozen clans leaders from many different clans, through their support by staging mass emails to Jagex, and purposely assembling their clans simply to mass log in and out to crash their servers and other, council members, officers and master PKers that were responsible for getting Jagexs attention.
And now it's my understanding, that clanning, is a main part of the game? How do you enjoy it? Is it better now, or worse than it once was?
