I'm dedicating a whole topic to this because it's pretty important you guys get this right the first time, because there might not be as many chances down the road to correct it.
I'm not really an active member of the community anymore, but I believe that it would be in the best interests of the 07 community if the new wilderness update was only applied to 10 servers. The reason to justify this, is the very same reason for coming up with this update in the first place, and that is wilderness activity.
While there may be an increase in individuals going to the wilderness, by limiting the benefits to several worlds you also limit the impact of the updates upon the economy, as they can not be farmed relentlessly without deserved risk. In other words, if there are less worlds, the risk is greater, and the chances of finding another player are dramatically higher, than if there are 178 worlds out there.
There are also alternatives which would be in the best interests of the clanning/pking community, as well as the 07 community as a whole...
Dare I say cut the number of servers by 25%?
Finally make two actual f2p servers.
I'm posting this here because I believe there is a better chance of it being seen than if posted elsewhere. Post your thoughts on what could be done to make the update successful.
