Why is it that the clan world's relationships between clans change all the time so dramatically?

For example, a certain clan that was crashing, ddosing and flaming another clan decides to AC for the same clan which results in them helping them win against a stronger clan.

So from flaming to holding hands? How does this happen? Is this a positive thing for the clan world? How will Valentine's Day affect the clan world?
