Greetings Runescape Community, my name RSN is Sound5leader, and I'm reaching out to you guys. I know that you may think that this topic is too long, or that I'm from the RSB so I must be a joke, but please put these preconceived notions aside and hear me out. I'm going to break this up into three sections if I can. Who am I, what the RSB is for those who don't know or haven't seen it since 2007, and why I'm here.
First off:
My name is Sound5leader, I'm in both an RSB clan known as Blood Vipers and the F2P clan The Knights of Order. I've seen both sides of the spectrum, and I enjoy both kinds of war. For those of you who used to be in the RSB back in the day, I was basically "raised" on the RSB but other RSBian people like Rebelrbl, Aurorashines, Humatiel, and Magicfinpro. I'm also pretty tight with Carc369, hear he's in RSD these days. I'm currently in or associated with a lot of projects with Sabedoria7 to revive the RSB, they've come with mixed results, sort of like the New Deal.
Enough about me, who I am probably won't make you guys listen to me anyway, I just wanted to establish that I'm not only an RSBer. Next I'd like to explain what the RSB was, and what it is now. There was a day when there was no RSC really, it was just the RSB. But after a short time the Jagex forums became out dated, and I assume that's the reason you guys migrated here. I'm not really sure why tbh, but Zybez IS much nicer. Anyway, as most of the better clans went to this forum I assume, the RSB struggled. It basically became the bad vs the good. But, when the Wilderness closed, most of us migrated to clan wars over time. By 2009 we were all doing clan wars, and we started to use audio programs like Ventrilo and Teamspeak 3. We started to use irc more, we use our own offsites now, most of our callers are top knotch, and we like to do 250k cwris and cj styled wars. I guess what I'm trying to say is, we're not as behind as you may think we are. And the relationship between us and you will go far if you can at least try to understand that. I respect the RSC, and I like RSC warring, I and the rest of the RSB just ask for the same in return.
I'm here because I was moved by your video on the Wilderness. (Made by WG I believe). It was amazing to see that another clan community are having the same struggles we are. I've noticed recently that along with the RSB's newfound organization we've done more cwri single spells fights, both vs RSC clans which have come with mixed results, and each other. RSB clans even won the CJ Tourney last year, though I'm not sure how much that was cared about. All I'm saying is that's a start. I personally love F2P but I haven't gotten many on board with that yet here in the RSB. That doesn't mean it can't happen some day. We see RSC clans come to the boards and ask us for fights, we see RSC members come to our irc channels and talk to us, so I figured why not take another step in bridging the gap between our communities and start a prosperous relationship that could benifit us all. We are not based on ladders like we used to be, and do war every day of the week. So, if you guys would be willing to join our irc channel #rsb_community and talking to people like Sabedoria7, scooter, Aspall, Deathman_200, and any clan leader/warlord that approaches you, we could see some promising action between the two communities.
Be patient with us, we're willing to try out a style of warring mostly foreign to us, but don't doubt our ability to improve. This forum account will be posted on by some of the brightest minds the RSB has to offer, not just me. People like Rebelrbl, Sabedoria7, Scooter, Underseige2, and Sapphire will be posting on this, too.
Tell me what you think, give me pointers, join our irc channels (I'll make a list of irc chans for you guys!). I don't want flame, I want progress. If you came to just say RSB rofl rofl rofl, you won't get anywhere and are only hurting yourself in the long run.
