Ok, so I am a CL in the recruitment section of these forums. One of the things I have noticed is that when someone posts in the 'Looking for a Clan' section that they are looking for a 'skilling', 'pvm', 'dg', or otherwise social type clan, they will still get a ton of responses from mainly f2p warring clans that claim to have a wide variety of social events.
I have also seen recruitment threads where warring clans claim that they include skilling/social events in their banners and descriptions.
Now from my experience, alot of these clans do not in fact participate in very many social events enough to warrant using it as a way to recruit people who have no interest in warring when they want to join a clan.
So my questions are;
1. Why do you think pvp clans bother telling potential recruits that they participate in social events when in fact they really don't;
2. Does your clan recruit this way that you are aware of;
3. Do you think that someone who is interested in mainly social events can ever be converted to a decent pker if they joined under false pretenses;
4. Do you think that most pvp clans intend to actually include more social events when they describe their clan to potential recruits, but never actually get around to organizing these events;
5. Do you think top pvp clans these days would benefit from making more of an effort to have more social events;
