Hi. I'm a member of Legendary Pures and have been with the community for some time. Since march of 2006 to be exact haha.
Now I know this topic will be controversial and it WILL attract a lot of trolls and flame. But I only hope that people can be skeptical and analyze the true nature of the meaning behind this topic. My intentions are to the purest intent...

I've seen the community go through many different stages. Primarily the Pure community. There were high points, and there were very low points...
The point of this topic is to get us back to where we once were....There used to be a code of Honor and Respect that revolved around the community, and now I only see hints of it remaining in Clans that have survived all the changes of Runescape and are still working hard to this day to keep it alive. Kudos to you folks. Then again there are those other clans that would be willing to do anything just to get a win over the other clan or avoid them. Who knows...
Well if you're a vet of the community you know what I'm talking about...All the time I see myself wondering what happened to the old community that I used to love. And no...the reason why I loved the community wasn't because I was young and excited and now I'm just missing that feeling, It was because it was bigger and much more vast. That and clans actually tried to uphold a simple and pure message. They respected each other and acted accordingly, unless the said so clans were in a rivalry that lead to hackings and such...but that is reasonable to a point...
As I'm writing this topic I'm wondering why we have grown smaller as a community. Why are clans dying, and why are the pulls getting lower and lower...When I think about it I can only come to one conclusion...
The rank team and staff members of the clan world haven't been giving enough attention to the community, only themselves. It's understandable really...Humans are naturally greedy and selfish. But this topic is a call to end all of that. My intentions for this community is only for it to grow and prosper for the long years ahead and that can not happen if the community keeps going down the road the way it has been. If you know me then you know I have made similar topics like this back in 2009-2011 and was only trolled or flamed out of the community. But as I have come back to the community I have realized I was right about it all along and I can sense that the rest of the community feels the same way.

As I'm hoping that you people who are reading this topic understand my point and acknowledge that there is some truth in what I have just explained I'm also hoping that a few clans, even main clans, will rise to the occasion and take on the task at hand. I don't have much power seeing as I am not a current rank in a clan anymore so my only hope is to call out to you guys. I'm talking to the ranks and staff members of the current clans that are open at the moment. I understand there have been many topics similar to this one calling out to the clan leaders to do something, and I know they have all received the same answer. But you know I'm right and you know something needs to be done. I'm hoping you will get rid of your selfish ambitions and do something the community will be thankful for.

Seeing as I am a member of Legendary Pures and one of the few old school vets in that clan. I have seen first hand, the kind of impact this could have on the community. Legendary Pures is a clan that was opened three weeks ago. Now you wouldn't expect a clan that has only been open for three weeks amount to the same number of members a clan currently has that has been open for 7 months or YEARS and at the same time being surprisingly competitive. The thing is most of our members are completely new to clanning. We currently have 57 accepted applications and 9 applications that are pending. We probably only have about 10 members that have been in the community before hand.
Now that I have said that It really goes to show the kind of Recruiting power one clan can have. Now I will finally get to the real point of this topic because honestly I've been blabbering on haha.

The community has been getting smaller. There are far less clans in the community and the member base has shrunk...a lot...
I'm calling out to the clans to stop being so opposed to "mass recruiting". That's an old and idiotic excuse lazy clans use to justify losing to a clan they shouldn't have lost to in the first place. It's an old notion and is actually the very opposite of growth. I'm asking you, the clan leaders, to step up and target your efforts into recruiting more members into our community. If you have to mass recruit go ahead and do that. If you have to give yourself a bigger presence in the community you do that as well. If you have to promote your clan and make more PK videos representing your clan PLEASE do that (I enjoy them 
). Do whatever you can to target the growth of our community. I want this community to change into something bigger than before. I want us to come out of this "slump" even stronger than before. If we can do this we can give ourselves a bigger influence on what Jagex does with our game.
I already suspect you know who "His Lordship" is. A member and leader of this community for many years, who has been ridiculed and hated on by many members of our community. The fact of the matter is. He's done more for the community than any of you have 
. There's a reason why Old School RS is even here, and why they are currently updating the game to make it even more enjoyable for us. You can give your thanks to Him and the members of WG who helped him along the way with his videos and polls.
I've seen the kind of influence one man can have on this community so now I'm imagining what kind of influence ALL of us can have if we can simply work together. I only ask that you stop stemming our growth and start bringing in new members to the community. Send out recruiters, promote them. Make a recruiter rank with responsibilities and quotas he/she must reach by the end of the month. During this we will have to cut down on the hostility and hate that has been killing our community because the overall point of this is to reach out to Jagex. And they will not listen to us if they see us as being cancerous and immature. After we have reached our ultimate growth we can then have a bigger influence on what Jagex does with the game, and possibly, they can capitalize on our community. This will in turn assure that another update like EOC will never happen again and we will thrive like we never have before.

This is a simple call to action, nothing more. You don't even have to do much. And it's not even that much to ask for. You know this community is dying, and you know the current ranks can not keep it alive for so long. We will have to pass it down to the next generation of RS clanners because we have to move on with our lives. But what happens when there is no next generation??? I want to make sure that there will always be a next generation. So please. Take some time to think about this. There really is no negative aspect about this at all. I'm basically asking you to make your clan better than it currently is haha.
At the same time. I'd like to keep the trolling down a bit. So please. DON'T :p
