If not, what would you consider "Mid Sized"?

With pulls rising, could there be another "Golden Age" coming up?

The Rebound of the Clanworld

Well since I haven't posted a topic on this board in many many years, I might as well start off by introducing myself. Name is Kempo.. I've been in the clan world since 2004 and eventually got introduced to my first "RSC based" clan Rune Raiders back in 2006 by Entendu101.

I was around to witness great rivalries such as DS vs DI, DF vs CORR, RR vs EOS, TR vs TRWF, and many others. I saw the rise and fall of clans such as Eternal Honor, Runescape Dynasty, Dark Slayers, Corruption, Shadow Elves, The Titans...

After Rune Raiders closed, I eventually found myself in The Rising where I have stayed ever since until their closure in 2010. After TR I decided to give the clan world one more shot, but quickly walked away due to the toxic crash war that consumed the entire community. After that, I was retired.

Well .. that was before the beginning of the summer when The Rising reopened. Since reopening, we have witnessed members return from all generations of this Runescape game. But nevertheless, we were brought some fresh blood to the clan world

Although this chart is far from perfect, I believe that is an accurate depiction of what the clan world has gone through throughout its time in Runescape. From the game's release in 2001, the clan world has many up and downs due to both lack of interest and the changes of ingame mechanics..

But through all that, Runescape clans still have hundreds of active members that participate in events as well as tens of thousands of OSRS players enjoying the game how it was back in the "Golden Age" era. Because of this, we are seeing members of all time periods come back to the game they love. Although it is far too late to return to the level of interest that it had back in 2005, I have never witnessed a better opportunity for the clan world to rebound after every "monkeywrench" that Jagex has thrown against it.

There is no excuse now, the only thing that is holding the clan world from continuing to grow is ourselves.

Although I'm sure posting a topic like this will lead to the usual pessimistic replies (part of the reason why I avoid posting), I did have questions

Unplanned PKRI Week [F2p]

I for one miss the unplanned PKRI .. the hunting down of clans, the tracking and use of scouts to find clans hopping around on F2p Pk trips.. the massing to hit a clan out pking, to ultimately and truely end their pk trip and send them running, or to try and counter the attack of a rushing clan and call more warriors into battle.

Obviously i understand times have changed and with few clans around, and so much clan beef , with also the problem with few worlds.

But what if... we set aside at least one week a month to have the whole clan community get together and say this week we will gather 20-30 or how ever many members and wonder out in the wilderness throughout the week, not just sunday.. and search for clans.. i understand it can be boring especially if no one tracks you down, the lack of F2p wilderness and such, but just stick it out doing it randomly throughout the week for atleast 30mins see if anyone has the courage to come hit you, or even by chance you run into a clan then went out at the same time as you.. I think it would be fun, would bring the rush back, and even show the commitment if you can hang or will you be forced out of the wilderness. The unplanned part would be key.. but it would be awesome if we could manage to come together and set something like this up.

is deadscape the future?

it has come to my attention that certain clans have sizible deadman units( ROT,AF,EOS,AC,LITHS,brut, ct maybe more) and certain clans have quit deaman due to sustaining massive losses and being unable to survive and thrive in a cutthroat world such as this( ronin, di, df, ect) obviously the bad clans who have members who lack individual skill refuse to play deadman however i believe deadman will be the future of pvp in runescape in the clan world...



so riddle me this?


1. why have some clans thrived on deadman while others have faltered ?

2. does your clan thrive on deadman or are you bad?

3. how ruthless are you in deadman?

I was just wondering, who actually plays this game? and what do you enjoy about the game so much OTHER THAN F2P PKING/Clanning?

Back in the day, I used to rummage through Al Karid mines, cut trees at Cammy, and even par take in a few Dk runs. That was back in 2004; now in OSRS, I just rushed my skills for only clanning. Now, I do not play as much, I might indulge in staking every now and then, used to PVM a bit but bad luck will deter me away. As for quests, I still need to RFD and I am absolutely dreading it. Setting that aside, I mostly log in for prayer runs and pking :)

Whilst, at the altar burying my bones, I had a religious moment. I would not say it was an epiphany, but more like a curiosity. At that moment, I was talking to a 'The member and I thought about the Great Schism.The Great Schism(Western Schism) was a basically a mass leave within the Catholic Church from Rome to France. Although my picture may be wrong, or whatever, it still serves the purpose, despite the semantics of its technicality.

During my time in 'The, the The Rising community was growing, and since it was summer, more and more people had time to train. Nostalgia was kicking in, and former officials felt we had a sufficient following to re-open The Rising. Unfortunately for 'The, they lost a bit of their members. That was my Great Schism,

"so what was your Great Schism?" If you want to explain a bit more on how it effected the clans, feel free. Pretty sure 'The lost momentum, but their community is still strong, and they still p2p.

Almost That Time of Year Again

So as many of you guys remember, last winter I hosted a tournament to get some action going, and felt that although there were quite a few drop outs do to lousy structuring by me, it was successful. Therefore, I was interested if the community would like to see such an event happen again this year (more likely to be next year). Obviously the Jagex Cup is coming up, and therefore the time frame of the tournament would not be the same, however, after the Jagex cup it would be possible to do such a thing again. I would likely amend the structure of the tournament so that it is a bit shorter with it being purely knock out with a consolation bracket.

Overall I don't have any specifics yet, however, I just wanted to get some opinions on the subject, so post away and let me know :)


Edit: Obviously last time a major issue was clans leaving the tournament before it concluded. I think perhaps if the tournament was shorter this would discourage such actions, however, if you have any ideas in how to stop team/clan leaving please let me know. Would be much appreciated.

Players in the Tzhaar Fight Pit's waiting room ready for battle

Good evening gentlemen and hello to all readers

Let's cut this short, I used to remember that there was an old CDRSC poster had this great idea where he held an annual event by inviting all the clans in the RuneScape Community clan world to participate in a super huge P2P cluster in the Fight Pits where it was usually held during at the end of the year.

Now after several years had passed. Do you guys still practice this joint multiple clan events in the Tzhaar fight pit since OSRS was introduced?

If no then why not you guys have a cluster in the Tzhaar Fight Pit?  A P2P friendly cluster would be nice for you guys to treat it as one of your CDRSC event for this end of the year?

Back in the day I felt the RAW list was unnecessary, but now, I feel it is needed. Believe or not, clans did respond to that list, even though they acted like they didn't care. At this very moment, every fight is almost a cluster. Beef is barely settled, and clans can never resolve their issues, unless one of those clans finally closes. I propose that the RAW list comes back. I know the TOP Clans list is used instead, but I feel the RAW Rankings forced clans into defending their positions on the list.

The community, our community, is still apart of one large group. We all meet with each other every weekend and play this game. Why not actually be a bit more organized, have Full-Outs in CWA or even the Wilderness. Those days of secret worlds and fight locations are done, but we can still resurrect the structure of our fights.

Beef may not be settled, but at least we can use our community, the Zybez community to our advantage.

Hey,
We see alot of changes daily in this clan world ,
every clan in 2015 try hard to recuit and save the amounts of members or rise it but sometimes we found ourself in wrong clan and we want to hang/pk with our people that we know and do our stuff , will you take a chance to build a New clan? Even in 2016?
And what are the other reasons that could new clan open for ?

Were taking part in the f2p cups and want some practice in f2p. We basically want to have a whole bunch of fights set up throughout fri/sat/sunday ( around 5-6 est). We can pull between 25-35. We're willing to fight anyone so Pm Scroll/Flcl71/Macleran on irc. Spent a good amount of time pming clans on irc with no luck, and don't know the f2p clanwars scene, so please stop by in #jaja friends.

Well the launch of the Albion Online beta today has been extremely succesful with the ex-RS clan EoS gaining loads of recruits.

They currently have the second most popular guild recruitment page on the albion forums topic can be found here: https://forum.albion...ional/?pageNo=1

A lot of the players are coming from Runescape / Ultima Online if you know anything about Ultima it is similar to Runescape in that hit has pvp where you lose everything and a player driven economy much like Albion has today!

They have had a bunch of recruits and people coming from the clan world that we havn't seen or heard from in years! Not telling you to quit your current clans or Runescape but if you fancy something a little different I would definetly recomend giving it a go!

Anyway I thought it would be cool to give you guys an update on how everything is going since EoS was an RS clan before and I am sure you have friends in this clan :) thanks for reading guys!

Edit: Just to say if you want to try and are worried about any potential clan beef or anything like that nobody in EoS cares about any previous beef aslong as you don't have serious beef with any individuals everything should be fine so feel free to apply if you would like to try out Albion :thumbsup:
