Is there still a divide between 'Regular' RS clans and Zybez?

I recall back in the day before clan chats, there were a lot of Runescape Official Forum clans which had 200+ members. They weren't any good, were extremely unorganized, but were still there. Now with the integration of Clan Chat - are these clans things still a thing? Are they still terrible? Do Zybez clans ever try to engage with them in any form? Skill wars/wars/clear them out of the wilderness?

Just curious. I always thought they were good sources of fresh recruits for the more hardcore clan world of Zybez. Had anyone ever thought about recruiting from those groups?

You're A Dead Man!

At the end of this month, Deadman mode will be released. The tl;dr of this gamemode is pvp everywhere in OSRS: 5x exp, but if you die to someone you lose half your exp in all but 5 protected skills (only 2 can be combat) and they can raid your entire bank for up to an inventory's worth of items. Now, I know there is a solid clan world in OSRS proper, but the interesting thing about this is that this game mode has the conditions that started the clan world off in the RS Classic: with pvp everywhere, people will naturally want to group up to defend themselves. However, the price for dying is rather steep: losing half your exp and presumably a large portion of your bank, so fights that last hours on end probably won't happen, and even  deliberate fights may not be set up. However, picking on the members of specific clans will be far easier. So, I'm divided on if a clan scene will develop on this mode - or if anyone will play it at all!

So give me your thoughts. Do you think Deadman mode will be conducive to a healthy clan world? Will your clan try out Deadman mode? Will anyone even play it? What are the most important stats to protect from exp loss?

I would like to officially announce that Anonymous Community will be re-opening on the 23rd of October. Applications will be open on this date. I would also like to announce that we will be opening up as a team. We will not be discriminating applications based on clan history (yes rot members can join). We at Anonymous Community have a wonderful and chill community. With our consistent activity and skillful members, we provide a very positive and professional atmosphere. Please feel welcome to check out our forums or ask questions in the comment section.



We have done some amazing things when were last open. We have had numerous wins over top tier clans such as RoT and AF.

Fun Wars, is it still practiced today? (Non Runite/D'hide/Blast Wa

As the topic mentioned, Nearly a decade or more than a decade ago, Multiple clans used to have Official and non official Miniwars that will determine their standings in the RSC's Official RAW list but there is one type of war that we used to had and (nearly) not practiced today, a fun event called as Fun Wars in the Wilderness.


Fun Wars is where the clans that participated wore equipments and gears that is not Tier4 Armor such as Steel or Mithril and the fight usually participated with more than 2 clans at a time. I used to had fun with the Steel Wars with my old clans and I think that The Alliance (Jagz/The/Tmrd/Gladz) used to have this kind of event with countless of clans as a monthly Alliance event (if I can remember correctly).


I know that these kind of clan fights is not viable as of 2015 but do you guys think that maybe someday in the future that we might get this kind of fun action again? I think that it's okay to treat this kind of event as a 'holiday' event for the clan world.


Post thoughts and if some of you guys have your old screenshot about some of the fun wars you've participated, post out the screenshots and share it with others and tell us your experience about it.

Are there any deadman clans?

Since deadman mode is coming out at the end of this month, I was wondering if there are any DMM clans forming.
I'm not talking about OSRS clans that already have a playerbase and might try deadman mode for a while, I'm talking about NEW clans that only focus on deadman mode.

If those clans do not exist yet, I might form one.

Hey RSC,

I'm a lurker, I have been lurking for years. And something that's been getting worse and worse are the RoT topics claiming they smashed the clanworld. On these topics every RoT comment is upvoted to heavens and everyone who claims RoT is just making RSC-fame topics gets downvoted to oblivion.

I'm just a bystander, clanless, and it annoys me that there's so many conflicting stories.
Why don't we get to see full, unedited video's of fights nowadays? Anyone can make a video of some nice spampiles and the minimap looking a bit more purple and then claim they dominated when the real story was entirely different.

I'm not saying  RoT isn't dominating, I'm just saying it's impossible to really know how these fights are going since topics just seem like they were written by Goebbels in an attempt to sway public opinion.

Every year there is a word in which is overused throughout the clan world. Here is a comprehensive list of each word of the year from 2005-2015. Warning: some of these words are explicit but they are also a part of our past.

2005 - Gf Coheed
2006 - Epic(roughly when 300 came out)
2007 - #
2008 - NH
2009 - Slave
2010 - I was Inactive
2011 - Minion
2012 - Spastic
2013 - Downie
2014 - Cancer
2015 - Toxic/Beef

From the looks of the list, the majority of words on this list are pretty negative, maybe the future will hold a different story.

What do you think about this list? What are words you would like to add? Feel free and post your opinions.

I haven't played Runescape in three years. I was wondering how the game is now, the clan world, etc. Has anything changed since 2012? is there still immature people in the game? Name calling, flame wars, etc.?

I belive the old RS is much better than the Evolution one (no kidding, old RS is always better lol). Is the game still dying or what's going on? I'm curious to hear from you guys.

I'm not sure if this belongs in general discussion or not as I wanted to know about the clan world as well.

Are remakes ever as successful?

I was reading through my runescape diary and reminiscing about old clans. Many times in history a clan has closed, and later reopened either under identical leadership or similar leadership.

More often than not the remade clan is not as glamorous/strong as the predecessor, but there are exceptions. Using 2015 examples both RoT and DI remakes are much weaker than they were before they closed. However, looking at a clan such as VR they are much stronger than the predecessors (Hostile/Awaken --> SA1/2)

Why are remakes normally worse than the original/predecessor?

Which remake would you say is the most successful? (Historically)

Hopefully someone can explain why remakes are normally worse... Is it because they get filled with worse members who would not have made the grade the first time around? That's what i'm thinking.

Latin Unit closes.

So yeah, I am not going to make an essay about it. Runescape is not the same as back in 2011 when we opened a big team and this year in march and it was time for us to go.We managed to defeated solace and went to the finals of mk tournament 20vs20 . We accomplished many things in just a short period of time. Managed to beat every top class clan in CWA after just months of opening with only latinos (and gringos).

It was a lot of fun really and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone who fought us and gave us good fights.

Latin Unit Closes

So yeah, once again Latin Unit closes their doors, 8 months ago Av2 Agn and me were talking on teamspeak playing league of legends and Agn was beign massed by Vr, this brought runescape to our conversation and we started remembering the old good times with Latin Unit in 2011, after some days discussing we started getting in contact with some old friends/members and  we decided to give it a try in the Old School servers, the road was long but somehow the time passed real fast, today  28/10/2015 we close again as a team. Reasons are simple we, the leadership dont have enough time now to play  rs as we did in 2011.

Even when we did not manage to be as good as we used to be im really happy with our community.
Theres just not enough latinos to run a team and the ones out there have their ego or we have our differences, thanks a lot to all the gringos who were part of latin unit, at first i was not ok with the idea of inviting non-latinos to the team but ended up meeting awesome people like Silv, esmir, bennie, giselle, hamada, etc.

Thanks to all the teams who gave us fights and sorry for all the harsh times, its been a pleasure men.

With DI officially trucing with rot...?

I have just heard from a trustworthy source that DI and ROT will fight this sunday in a team to clear fight.... as some of you know DI asked rot for a truce for the past few weeks and rot have decided to keep them as a meal for later as they continue to feast on Vr and DF...for the past several weeks di have asked rot for a truce over and over(this started in august)...

Hello men, today i witnessed ronin get slaughtered at the hands of downfall...in case you didnt know ronin begged downfall for help in a crash war several months ago in which downfall bailed them out of,now after beefing with downfall several months it seems that downfall has had enough and has decided to destroy ronin, with the state of the top 4 right now it looks like downfall may be poised to take #1...



so riddle me this?

1. is the rise of downfall the end of ronin?

2. will ronin bow down or fall down?

3. will downfall make a push for the top 5?

4. did ronin make too many enemies with their attitude toward their peers and their poor choice of both members and officials?
