Introduction
Divine Kings have been around for a while now. We've been around since before the BH era (officially opened in May 2007 as a friendly community). The founder of DK is Gotenks 2322 better known as Derek. We offically opened as a clan after Bh was introduced to the rs world. We've progressed and surpassed many clans that are out there today. From being a world Bh team we transformed to a clan wars clan to one of the most active f2p pking clans out there. From taking on clans such as Trwf to RSD and The Rising. Divine Kings have never backed down from any fight that comes our way. Divine Kings are also known for challenging themselves and continuously fighting top 10 clans. Our activity has also remained top-notch and DK is now the most active f2p pking and warring clan (out every single day of the week).
This may not come as a shock to many of you but we do not share the same values as some do of honor and what not. We've done a lot of crashing in our day and continue to do so to this day. The runescape world is getting old and our members understand that. We try to have fun no matter what. In this game honor isnt what it use to be so why should we respect old traditions while we can make New ones? we however respect clans that in-turn show us some. Respect is a two-way street.
I would argue that the most impressive thing about DK is that; we as a clan, have been through several hardships including many ups and downs, mass leavings, leadership retirements, being hunted off by clans who tried to kill DK (Df, Eos, Tt), crash wars, and much more. We have been through it all and always came out on top. As most people may not know, the average DK members has been with us for over a year. We still have around 30 Old Skool members who have tagged along since 2007, although most of them are now retired, many do still show up to regular events. Having all that said, DK has now built itself a large amount of dedicated and loyal members. DK has never been scared of its reputation since we don't rely on recruiting from websites such as zybez.net or tip.it - As a matter of fact, nearly none of our members have been recruited off such sites and less than 5% post on them.
The Bounty-Hunter Era
The great journey of Divine Kings officially started in the multi bounty-hunter era. At this point in time Divine Kings was a massive open cc team in which anybody could join and make enormous amounts of loot. At this point in time DK was a force to be reckoned with and started to make its first impressions in the clan world. Dk would pull a massive 60-70+ people daily and would give the top 10-20 a run for their money. This is also the point in time in which some key members of Dk, which would shape the future of the clan, come into play.
The clan wars era
Upon major changes thrown at us from Jagex; such as turning the bounty-hunter arenas into single combat zones and the introduction of the clan wars arena, DK went through a difficult adjustment. We didn't let these drastic changes affect Dk much and soon moved onto the world 141 scene quickly making an impression and just as quickly becoming one of the most hated clans on world 141. This is by far Dk's most important era seeing as all the future leaders of DK would join at this point. Including me, But Kicker, Trevor, Haoshu, Its Mr Ko, as well as a large amount of Dk that would end up becoming the highly respected Old School members such as Machamp195, Tarheelnite, Elmo786, Slasher, Sami Killer9, Pure Ltux7, 3mm2, Master Arnel, Aznboy, and many more. At this point in time Haoshu was leading a clan called 'Adrenaline' which was in friendly terms with DK and arguably merged. The merge was not made official but a high amount of Adr members joined Divine Kings. The clan wars era was the turning point of DK, this is where forum activity and teamspeak 2 started to become mandatory. Divine Kings would literally change from having no organization to being one of the most successful clans out there. Activity also started to spark thanks to Dk's rivals at the time. A massive w141 team called 'Tbz' The True Brothaz which numerously defeated Dk only to be defeated months after. Tbz ended up closing shortly after their losses to Divine Kings.
Divine Kings return to PvP! - 2008
With the return to PvP and the re-addition of the wilderness Divine kings was quickly rebuilding there memberbase to the complete 60-70. During this time we had hit a pretty bad slump due to starting so many crashing wars with other clans. At times we'd pull 40-45 and sometimes 50-55. Our pulls were very unstable during this time. Divine Kings eventually had the addition of a few new leadership roles and began straightening out of the pulls. This is also among the most exciting parts of Dk's history. It was not long before bigger clans like Df and Eos viewed us as a threat and started hunting us daily with the mind set of closing Dk. Little did they know that hunting Dk till death is completely impossible. Due to Dk's top notch activity clans like Eos and Df could not keep up with ACing for each other and thus, resulting in DK feasting on nearly every single one of their fights.
Divine Kings and Zero Honor Merge - June 2009
During the period of time where DK stopped crashing clans, a clan had risen called "Zero Honor" led by Bloodarrow and James Br0wn. When we finally arrived back on the crashing scene an alliance was being forged in secret to take out Divine Kings and finally end our reign of destruction. During the beginning days of this merge we decided to approach ZH for a merge to pull 399 options to combat the Independent Alliance which consisted of (Divine Forces, Echo of Silence, Corruption, Eternal Honor, Dragonwood, Pure Hatred, The Runescape warhunger Federation, The Rising, and finally a sorted amount of mini-clans.) The merge went through and we had pulled over 100 people to our first PK trip when we combined forces. Divine Kings then ended up peaking at 130 people to a pk trip.
Divine Kings vs. Independent Alliance - June-July 2009
During the first few days of the IA, They were strong, strong but with many faults. We had the upper hand on them on almost any fight which did not have a prepped AC. Divine Kings literally crashed any and every fight we could in which we did not have an agreement with and at the time we only had an agreement with (RSD,TMC,WL,TCL, and SE.) With the exception of those clans we crashed every clan out there until they begged for peace. During the first Saturday and Sunday of the IA vs. DK marathon we were accompanied by Violent Resolution. We had called our self NH (No Honor). During this fight we controlled almost every aspect of this fight, the fights were roughly 3 clans vs. NH or more. These fights were tough but calming for us. We knew how to handle ourselves and to only take one clan at a time. We eventually began winning almost every fight they gave us. They'd spam, "RIP DK 09'" but in the ending days of the Independent alliance it was us who were spamming "RIP IA 09" as we had taken out one of the biggest alliances yet with only the help of Violent Resolution. After disposing of the Independent Alliance in June/July 2009, Divine Kings continuously feasted on clans that participated actively in the Anti-Dk Alliance such as Trwf, Df, and many other smaller and mid sized clans until apologizes were presented to the current Divine Kings leaders at the time.
Divine Kings and Noobs Inc split - Late 2009
At this point a small percentage of Ex-Ni/Zh members started to become unhappy with Derek's decisions. The Ex-Zh/Nh wanted to be become a pure crashing clan while Derek disagreed. Dk also continued to have certain cwa fights which has been tradition since DK's early days. Ni/Zh officials contacted Parko, Eric, and Mika and discussed the re-opening of Ni, which ended up happening the following day. It only took Dk and the new Ni one day to become natural enemies. Luckily, this would be conflict in which Dk would eventually end up being victorious, even if Ni allied themselves with cc teams such as terminal and Pure Hatred. After being hunted daily and after countless hours of them hiding in BH, Ni eventually ended up closing down once again and a generous percentage of ex-ni members joined DK.
Divine Kings late 2009-2010
This is the point in which Dk would repeatedly smash all of its enemies including Ph, Ni, Nhf, and whatever other open CC teams they would throw at us. Among them, clans like Tr and Corr would let their members pk with ph which started to cause some minor drama. Tr's fights were constantly crashed and after a mass leave (their ml dropped from 95 or so to 75) they decided to learn their lesson and ban any Tr from pking with Ph. All Corr who pked with Ph also got killed and quit Ph. For the next few months all these garbage open cc's and multiple Ni remakes would attempt to crash all our official pkri's. Every single one of their crashes resulted in a complete failure and even Ni's 20th re-make, Nhf, ended up in shutting down. I would argue that this was DK's peak with pulling over 100 people to 1 week preps, we even had alliances with clans like Dh and 2M at the time. One of our most notable fights would be the Divine Kings Vs. Wilderland fight in which we started with 300 and ended with 310. My favorite part of our recent history would probably be when Tt said they were going to close Dk and whatever other trash talk and then backed out the day after. To this day DK is still among the most hated clans and one of the most successful and organized ones.
Divine Kings 2011-2012 (The Kings)
Divine King's leader Derek had gone absent with his rapping career, and so, KTV5968 and Gotoheaven0 (Dave) opened up The Kings to continue our existence revamped under a new name. Our rivals were with the usual ancient hatreds that we had against Pure Hatred. We fought many wars and won relentlessly. It was also during this time that Critical Damage decided to pick up a crash war with us since they have always been bullied by us since the BH era. Really though, they were getting leeched off Pure Hatred who will now 2v1 us. To their dismay, we still did not falter and stayed until pre-EoC came in which Jagex robbed the clanworld of all their efforts. Clans have all lost it and tried to adapt to the changes, but ended up closing. Our remaining members stuck it with VR for the time being since they were our closest friends, FEEL THE BLUE!
Divine Kings Outlives Poison Mid-2016
After many DK reunion pk trips within VR in the return of Oldschool in February 2013. This was minor, but it gave heart to allow DK to still be remembered and for all the credit they deserve for introducing so many new bloods into the clanning world of Runescape since they opened. Then it happened. On August 2016, it was announced on teamspeak and a couple telephone calls that Derek is settled and can go back to clanning and suddenly with the leadership of Adenina and Haoshu (myself), we pulled a good 80 people out of nowhere to show our dominance in the clan world. Our first order of business was to set up fights since seeing our old enemies are gone such that Pure Hatred ceased to exist (good fight) and Critical Damage turned into a pure clan (lmfao). Our first fights began with destroying Ronin to crumbles reclaimed all ex-dk members from Ronin as well (we still want you Elder Jr). It seems that our loyalty was more prowess than that of the state of Ronin. Then Poison decided to pick up a fight with us by crashing us everytime we had an event. Since the Ronin threat was over, we moved our attention to Poison who eventually got overwhelmed by us in the long run and their members left and got leeched by JaJa, then SV in the later days. Little did Poison know that relying on other clans to aid them, they were out of luck with some of their core members spying for us.
Divine Kings Adapt to P2P 2017
Since F2P events usually happen on Sundays, we got bored and needed to pick up our activity in which we knew one of our enemies were JaJa and Downfall. As a mention for Downfall, as with Downfall, members were sniping each other during F2P wars so it got annoying and we felt it was in our interest to crash Downfall's fights. But our attention is mainly JaJa+SV for assisting Poison, this time, we will hit them in P2P. This boosted our member activity and we pulled around 40-70 members with a couple of small arms trips around the P2P wilderness 24/7. JaJa and SV decided to do a ragfest against us, but little did they know it destroyed their clan. Since the JaJa threat was over when their leader Macleran hacked all their member's accounts and cleaned them, our natural enemies came back; Downfall... Through the shared members that Downfall has with Revenant and JaJa, we had to do something about it. So once we encountered each other, the fight ensues along with 1 iteming raggers of SV and others on us. P2P had been so fun that we have cleared other clans such as Talibans, RoL, Explicit, Anonymous Community, Cutthroat, Forsaken, Chivalry Legions, and more.
HAPPY 10 YEARS DIVINE KINGS, LONG LIVE THE KINGS!
