EOS places CWA embargo on ronin

Hello men, it has come to the attentions of the powers that be within the clan world that ronin has decided to become affiliates with reign of terror, In our quest to eliminate this blight from our game we have decided to place a CWA embargo on ronin meaning that any clan who agree's to fight ronin in CWA will be treated as if they were ronin themselves and destroyed with the exception of the following teams




1. Poison
2. Vitality




They will be allowed to fight these 2 clans. no one else. any clan giving this clan action will meet the same fate.

So this week I occurred on both sides of this happening. If not before, then at least now I've witnessed just how much grief this can cause.

Reasons why this isn't a small issue:
- It's a rude gesture from the leaver, not allowing the enemy their kill
- It can throw the enemy clan and their caller off and kill their momentum, especially if they're not used to it
- It can call an otherwise obvious victory into question, if the leaver was on the victor's side
- There's a gray area between when it is, and isn't allowed1
- It may be unintentional2, and you can't always know for sure

If and when this happens at a decisive moment in a fight – let's say a tiebreaker 25-kill CWRI at 22–23 kills – it can be very frustrating to the enemy, and may cause a lot of grief for the relations between the warring clans/teams even if it was ultimately only committed by a single member, against their clan's wishes.

So now that we've established that this is a problem, and because many of you hate long topics, let's move straight onto solutions.

Proposal #1 – Do nothing, wait for Jagex to fix it, and deal with the issue as it happens

This is the status quo.

Pros:
- Already established
- Obvious, and therefore simple
Cons:
- A small issue causes proportionally large headaches
- Results in arguments when CC-leaving does happen
--> May lead to boycotting the enemy, and thus generally fewer fights and less variety for both sides


Proposal #2 – Agree on counting a mid-pile CC-leaver as x kills

By default x = 1, as that's how CC-leaving in run-ins is dealt with in the main game (RS3). However, some clans may claim it affects them more as its unexpectedness can throw them off; therefore, x can be agreed upon. As most clans/teams have one or more members recording fights, a CC-leaving is fairly easy to prove.

Pros:
- x = 1 is already established in RS3, so this is logical
- Important: The knowledge, that a leaver counts as a kill regardless, should help the enemy stay calm and maintain focus.
- Should avoid arguments, since it's pre-agreed.
Cons:
- Needs to be agreed-upon prior to fights

Hello Clan World!

I am here to invite you on behalf of Echo of Silence Clan to celebrate our GRAND VICTORY over Reign of Terror in officially the longest fight to ever occur on runescape. This is a great victory for EOS clan engraving EOS' legacy as one of the most dominant clans of all time.
All clans & teams in the Honor Lions are invited to participate along with AC, Poison, THE Clan, Vitality, ROL, Downfall and Brap Single Team.

There will be kegs of beer and much food to be had in this great celebration:

General opinion on rsb clans

As most of you know, the clan I am in, Silver Blood, has been making he transition from being an rsb based clan to an rsc based clan. The transition has not been easy and I can still say that we aren't there yet but it's been a fantastic experience so far.

What I'm wondering is what are your thoughts on rsb clans who try to transition to rsc ?
Do they promote a healthy competition to lower tiered clans?
Do they help keep the clan world active?
Do you support rsb clans or do you try to resent them and keep them from going and why?

Ronin CWA Embargo

So, as many of you know, EOS has recently placed a CWA embargo on Ronin, topic can be found here: http://forums.zybez....bargo-on-ronin/

earlier tonight, VR (a clan not permitted by EOS to fight ronin) participated in a clan wars battle with Ronin, thus violating the CWA embargo. Proof: http://puu.sh/ixUXZ/db5150b911.jpg

So... my question to you guys:

-Will EoS react to this recent violation of the CWA embargo?

-Do you think other clans will follow EOS' policies and fight ronin, or not?

If Clans Had Sales

What about if Clans briefly lowered their requirements to allow lower levels into the clans. I find it rather hard to try and recruit higher levels. Here is a graph of real statistics.

The clan world needs new blood, so why not allow some minions to enter our world. Would be interesting to entertain the thought of a brief window of low reqs, lets say 95 combat instead of 110.

So for discussion value: Would lowering reqs for a brief moment help introduce new people into the clan world? If not, what else can be done?

currently 4 of the clans alive today have held the number 1 position at some moment:

- VR
- DI
- DF
- EoS

each clan has had a period of undisputed number 1 at some point in their history. sorry medium size clans that you are left from this topic but i dont know your histories enough over who has been 'undispited top mid clan'.


from these 4 super powers who have held number 1, when was each clan most dominant? give a year (or years!) you can also add a reason if you want. also each of these clans have held number 1 multiple times

di - 2005 (osrs 2013)
df - 2008
eos - 2011

Dragon spears.

No i did not lose a +1 recently and this isn't a rage thread.
This topic is obviously related to the spear spec, I want to hear your serious opinions on it.
I decided to open this thread here as D spears are mainly used by the clan/team community and i didn't find any other threads on this. This was considered a bug and got fixed pre-eoc.

Here is my viewpoints on it:
Personally i think Overspearing is a pretty ridiculous mechanic,
You could argue it's tactical but really.. It's way to easy compared to macing people pre-eoc, And completely uncounterable.
You could argue it keeps people from bringing expensive/op +1s into multi, Like AGS,SOTD & And sigil shields.

And dragon spears potentially breaks castle wars too. Could just camp the flag and have a couple of spearers along whit a cw braced dds speccing through their mage def gear like butter unable to do anything.

The Best way to counter getting speared is to turn of your Protection prayers & xlog
That alone is kinda stupid
You could also argue it's a blessing to the clan community, But i don't see the fun in smiting someone that can't do anything at all back at you, Even if alot of clans are NH and doesn't give a crap.

Solutions and possible effects:
I think a change to make you able to counter for atleast a couple of ticks before another spearspec can land on you OR just make them not stack.
This Wouldn't make spears useless/dead content. And a well timed spear can still make you smite the target.
This change would probably make more multi pkers bring the items i mentioned before, And ofc most people value their +1 over their life and will keep their prayer points high above anything else.
This would also bring a more skillbased clanning experience whit more hard tanking.
It would possibly make smiting more rewarding, And more "Legit"

I've already tweeted mod ash about this, And he said they have already polled it.
But some people here are able to contact Jmods if this gets more attention it's a very possible repoll.
Imo spears are promoting unfun/broken gameplay.

Give me some actual points if you are against this.
Edit: expected Downvotes, Cause everyone knows it's broken. But posting this topic is here where people abuse this on the daily is deemed retarded by most, Ye im pretty new and grats on ely Rot..

Ancient Fury Closes Its Doors

It's been a hell of a time and we have proven that we are a force to be reckoned with in the p2p clanworld but we have decided that it is time to close our doors. We reopened for oldschool to have fun like in the old days and we grew stronger than we ever imagined. We even managed to defeat some of the strongest p2p forces including Reign of Terror and Damage Incorporated.

We survived a long crashwar with Damage Incorporated and even had the upper hand for most of it but due to a stronger enemy we put our differences aside and formed an alliance to try and compete with Reign of Terror. Obviously this plan didn't turn out as we had hoped. We now can't even pk deep into gmt timezone even with our 5 clan alliance. We thought if we formed this alliance we could easily take the #1 p2p spot from RoT as we would have 2-3x their numbers at almost every fight due to 4 clans crashing for us. However, this was not the case. Reign of terror has shown why they have been #1 p2p and f2p for all of oldschool runescape. We thought our alliance would break them, it only made them stronger. We have now decided to close in order to allow our members to enjoy p2p pking again and hopefully find a clan who has no beef with RoT.

It has recently been brought to my attention that certain clans have begun using another fansite, which I will refer to as the code-name Sal's Realm of Runescape. Now, I understand that the alliance is experiencing quite a slump and is in desperate need of recruits, however, this is not my gripe.

These clans have made several false and defamatory comments about the great Runescape Community as seen below:

Despite their supposed hate towards the great fansite that is Runescape Community, they have decided to take topics word for word and post them as their own, as seen below (they didn't even bother to remove the backgrounds!):

Despite all of these ungrateful and disrespectful actions towards Runescape Community, these clans are still being permitted to post on the best Runescape fansite in the history of Runescape.

My question to you is: Should this act of double-dipping be permitted?

My ruling: No.
In the case of Epicgamers v. Runescape Community (for all you 2k10 prods), a man named Stephen22288 attempted to create a rival fansite, named Epicgamers, in response to his growing dislike of Runescape Community. The Runescape Community Administrators swiftly imposed a rule permitting a clan to post only one topic on any event. This meant that if a clan were to post their topic on Epicgamers, they would not be permitted to post on Runescape Community. If they proceeded to post on Runescape Community anyway, their topic would be removed.

Now, take a look at the current situation. These ungrateful, dying clans have grown to dislike the Runescape Community that made them relevant to begin with and are currently in the same situation as Stephen22288. Based on the precedent of Epicgamers v. Runescape Community, all posts by these clan's should cease immediately.

New crash war confirmed

With tensions mounting in the clan world as the crash war wages on amongst top clans in runescape it appears that lower ranking clans are beginning to follow suit. The most recent incident is that of Latin Unit  declaring a crashwar on The Moon clan. A trend has begun to solve disputes by crashing the opponents clan but I feel that this will have a far greater effect on smaller clans.

I ask to you:

1.Who will win this crash war?

2.How is this going to affect other clans?

3.Are we going to get free tacos after this crash war is over?

4.Is this crash war going to be one sided like the Rot vs world crash war?

The "Honor" Alliance?

Hello my fellow Clan Discussion Enthusiasts,

It's me St33l_Pkd back to discuss a new issue that's arising in the clan world. Just for a little background information since some people here might be new to the clan world xD: The current crash war began when "Reign of Terror" started crashing everyone because noone would give them any fights. The "Honor Alliance" formed to stop this type of behavior and bring honor back to the game of Runescape. However, recently this alliance has been engaging in some questionable activities in there own right. The so called "master" of the alliance, Echo of Silence, has declared both a crashwar and embargo on Ronin, started beef with the founders of the Honor Alliance (Violent Resolution) and has begun crashing midsize clan fights as well (The Rising vs Downfall and Liths vs 'THE'). These activities call into question the principles of the Honor Alliance as a battle of good vs evil to contain the no honor principles of Reign of Terror.

<Hutch - Listening to Music> Bro we have 72 people all registered to our hidden boards. We had 43 in TS last night for a fun castle wars scrimmage. We're ready to take down Df. We have tons of people coming back. The average is 111.8. We haven't got pete back yet. He's got some loyalty to rot still. I think he still plan on going back there. We need him back as a co leader. We all know he's bad in game but he brings a lot of good morale to the clan. If we can get him drunk he'll agree, you know as much as he loves rot he loves booze even more. Are you in or not? Work on Pete.
